Vilmet is a subcontracting machine shop that is based in Mänttä-Vilppula in Central Finland. We manufacture machine and equipment structures and components based on customer needs into installation-ready products and overall solutions. Our services also include demanding cast machining applications (tempered steel and steel casts).
The welding, machining, and installation is completed by us. Everything else, such as surface treatment, is acquired from trusted long-term partners. Our products include various kinds of frame parts and steel structures, switchgear boxes, blocks, and housings, all of which are manufactured as a subcontractor.
Most of our customers operate in the metal and mining industries. For this reason, our subcontracted products include welded and machined frame and boom structures of rock drilling equipment, frame plates and jaw crusher mountings of rock crushing machinery, excavator transfer platforms and transfer mounts of earthwork machinery, and hardware components of a rock product factory. We also serve clients in paper-, pulp-, energy-, wood-, forrest and sea industries.
